LYNDEL LEE SR. has served as senior pastor since the summer of 2012. His preaching is mainly expository and focuses on getting at what the passage actually says and then what it says to us. God’s Word speaks to us in a relevant way that speaks to our present lives and in these current times!

Lyndel planted the Grace Baptist Church of League City, Texas, (Houston area) in 1981. He pastored there until the fall of 1993 when he moved to Crane, Texas, to assume the pastorate of Tabernacle Baptist Church. He served as senior pastor at Tabernacle until the summer of 2012 when he moved to Tanglewood.

Lyndel and his wife Donna have been married since 1976. They have three married sons, four granddaughters and two grandsons. Their eldest son and daughter-in-law live in Odessa and teach in the Odessa public schools. Their second son is in the United States Navy and is stationed in Jacksonville, Fla. His wife is a family counselor. Their youngest son is on ministry staff at Central Baptist Church of Whitesboro, Texas. His wife is a music teacher.

Lyndel was ordained to the Gospel ministry in 1981 after completing his Bachelor of Science degree at Arlington Baptist College and before planting Grace Baptist Church in League City. He has since earned a Master of Arts in Ministry at Moody Graduate School of Chicago, Ill. and a Master of Divinity at Moody Theological Seminary. He holds a Doctorate of Ministry from Southern Seminary in Louisville, Ky.
